Many of you have asked about our tasting room reopening plans. It would be absolutely awesome to have you all back inside, and we look forward to the day we can do that!
With the 6ft of distance guidance between tables and the layout of our small tasting room, we would only be able to allow a handful of people inside and on our patio. The cost to operate with limited capacity doesn’t financially add up for us to be open. Also, with a very small team producing and packaging our beer (4 of us), we can’t risk anyone getting sick. If that happened, it would immediately limit our ability to operate as a business for a period of time.
Our decision at this time is to play it safe, and we decided it is in the best interest of you, our employees and the long-term operation of our business to continue doing to-go only for at least the month of June – possibly longer. We will keep a close watch on the next phase of reopening that KCMO announces. This has been a very hard decision for us. We want to be the place where friends, family, neighbors and the KC craft beer community can gather to connect and enjoy our beers. Until we are 100% certain it is the right thing to do to reopen, our tasting room will remain closed.
What we can tell you for the month of June is we plan to continue releasing new hoppy beers in cans with interesting hop blends and new artwork on labels. While our focus for to-go cans will be mostly hoppy beers for now, we are itching to release some new styles we have not done before once the tasting room reopens. We hope the to-go options give you something to look forward to until we get back to serving in the tasting room.
On a final note, thank you for supporting us over the last 3 months! You’ve kept our tiny little brewery alive and our small group of full timers working with fully-paid health care benefits. Can’t thank you all enough!!
