Spring/Summer Update

Lots happening at BKS this spring and summer! We try to keep you updated on all the “goings-on”, but here are a few things you may not know.

Summer Hours Starting in May

Nobody likes to go home when the sun is still up! So, to take advantage of the additional daylight, we will be open Fri 4 to 9p, Sat 1 to 9p & Sun 1 to 7p. Our patio is a great place to meet friends for a beer.

Brewing Capacity

Many of you have asked why we are not open more and don’t have more to-go options. The answer is our production is limited by our brewing capacity and number of fermenters, meaning we can only produce a limited supply of beer. Along with that, we continue to see more and more great folks coming to visit our tasting room each weekend. Our #1 priority is keeping our tasting room taps flowing, and so far, we’ve been able to keep that trucking along.

To help us provide more to-go options and a greater diversity of beers, we are upgrading to a larger brewing system and adding more fermentation capacity. We hope to have this completed by August. During this upgrade time frame, we have several critical infrastructure changes that may result in downtime on our current brewing system. As a result, we will likely have less to-go beers available until we have our larger brewing system up and running. Then it is on!

Additional Space

While on the expansion topic, we recently signed a lease in our current building to expand our tasting room and brewing area. You’ll notice some construction this summer, and once we get all of our proper liquor licenses in place we think you’ll love the additional space to relax and enjoy our beers with your friends and neighbors!

Hydromel, Hydromel, Hydromel

It has been a pleasure to partner with Waldo Honey on hydromel/mead releases. Our plan is to grow this offering over the summer so it is on tap more often. Keep an eye out for new variants on social media.

Boulevardia

We are excited to be part of Boulevarida again this year. On Friday, 6/14, we will be part of a beer dinner at Voltaire with Boulevard Brewing, which is sold out. And on Saturday, 6/15, we will be pouring at Boulevardia Taps and Tastes. Hope to see you there!
